    Students may fulfill elective requirements by completing an independent study in the following areas:
    • Performing Arts – Students may earn up to one full credit for participating in a band, chorus, drama production or music lessons that have a recital or public performance.
    • Physical Education – Students may earn up to one full credit for participating in an organized sport or a physical education program.
    • Service Learning – Students may earn up to one full credit for volunteering in their communities on a regular basis.
    • Work Experience – Students may earn up to one full credit for participating in an internship, externship or apprenticeship.

Note – Courses are full year courses (two half-credit semesters) unless otherwise noted.
