Student Assessments
Assessments may be purchased separately to determine a student's mastery level for any course. Based on the results of an assessment, the student and parent can decide between enrollment in an entire 18-week course or a remediation class.
Assessments determine a student’s mastery level for any course.
At EdOptions Online Academy, a remediation class is an individualized course of study that consists only of course material that the student did not master on the assessment. The student works through the lessons and submissions in their prescriptive remediation class to earn credit for the course.
Remediation classes are ideal for students who have partially completed a high school or middle school course, but did not receive credit. Students may enroll in remediation courses to earn school credits without repeating course material they have already learned.
